Interested in increasing your earning potential? Students graduating from this college will be highly qualified teachers. The training provided is extremely technical. Upon completion of the course program, successful candidates can be tested for Certification by a National Examiner. Graduates of the Ballroom Dance Teachers College are potentially desirable employees in dance studios around the country, because of the level of expertise this training provides. Certification recognized by the NDCA is the first step to being acknowledged as an expert in the field of ballroom dance.
The National Dance Council of America (NDCA) is the official governing body for dancing in the United States. Its purpose is to provide, on a nation-wide basis, a united inter-association agency to represent the interests of those in the dance profession and other dance-related entities and organizations, and to act as the agency for cooperation with similar councils in other countries. The NDCA stated purpose is to also conduct a continuing campaign for the establishment and the maintenance of high standards in dance education, and to acquaint the public with the nature and benefits of these standards and to recognize the status of qualified dance teachers affiliated to member organizations of this Council.
The Ballroom Dance Teachers College prepares potential ballroom dance teachers to become Certified Ballroom Dance Teachers recognized by the NDCA (National Dance Council of America). Students learn how to dance both the Lead and Follow, how to teach, referencing a standardized, nationally recognized Syllabus. The courses offered through the college are intensive studies of dance training, theory, teaching methodology, and professional deportment. The program takes students on a journey that greatly enhances their own dancing, and prepares them for a highly successful career as a ballroom dance teacher. Graduates of the College can also have career opportunities here locally with The Staver Dance Company.
