Feel like you're in a rut, and not getting the satisfaction you want from your own dancing abilities or your social group classes? The Staver Dance Company has an educational program for you that will take your dancing to the next level........
It's called "The Medal Program" Truly bootcamp for ballroom dancing!
"So what does that mean? What is a Medal Program?"
The Medal Program is an excellent way to set specific goals and focus your dance education.
MEDAL PROGRAMS, – usually offered as a Private Lesson Program are now also being offered as a group class at StaverDanceSport. It is a "structured curriculum" based on a nationally recognized syllabus that will help you become the type of dancer that can dance in any setting with confidence and a recognized level of ballroom dance expertise.

The Medal Programs are designed for students who would like to measure their progress in a more formal way. Medal Exams conducted by a National Examiner are an "OPTIONAL" part of the Medal Program.
Medal Examinations can be taken in any level from Bronze 1 through “Full Gold” in the following styles:
*American Smooth * American Rhythm
* International Standard * International Latin
You and your teacher, or You and your dance partner, will prepare to dance before a National Examiner, who will grade your dancing progress. You will receive a national “Certificate of Achievement” upon successful completion of each level of examination.

In Private Lessons -The DVIDA Medal Program is a fun and exciting way for you to become an excellent dancer. You and your Instructor will structure your "private lessons" to meet a progressive series of goals learning dance patterns and routines from a nationally recognized syllabus. You decide how fast you would like to proceed and which dances you would like to focus on. You will be amazed at how your dancing, your poise, and your self-confidence will improve through this process.

In Group Class - The DVIDA Medal Program lessons are structured to meet a progressive series of goals also learning dance patterns and routines from a nationally recognized syllabus. Through this process, you will experience great improvement in your overall dancing skill as you dance with the other people in the program, and also in your own poise, self- confidence and self-discipline in dance technique as you learn how to execute the specific elements of each dance.

Experts in the dance industry agree that a structured Medal Program is the best way for students to "accelerate their learning process" beyond regular group classes and to become extraordinarily good ballroom dancers.

Twice a year at StaverDanceSport, 41 East 6th Avenue, The Staver Dance Company will schedule formal Medal Exams. A nationally recognized dance expert, a Certfied Examiner, will come to our studio to watch you dance with another student, or with your teacher. The Examiner will grade your dancing and give you written feedback on the routines. When you successfully perform your routines, you will achieve a formal Certificate of Achievement from DVIDA - tangible proof that you have achieved a national standard of excellence for your level. The real proof is the degree of improvement you experience in your own dancing!

So make the decision NOW! Invest in YOURSELF! TAKE YOUR DANCING TO THE NEXT LEVEL! Find out more about how you can develop your dancing skills to become the type of dancer you really want to be.

"What Happens when I enroll in a Medal Program?"
Your Instructor will teach you how to dance with the same technique that is recognized for excellence in dance competitions and the same nationally recognized dance figures. Your instructor will also prepare a choreographed routine for you to dance either with your instructor or with your dance partner.
If you choose to take the national exam, a National Examiner will come to the studio to watch you dance that routine. The Examiner will grade your dancing and give you and your teacher a written critique. Upon successful completion of the Medal Exam, you will receive a formal Certificate of Achievement from DVIDA - and recognition that you have achieved a national standard of excellence for your level of accomplishment. Remember, this exam is OPTIONAL! But so worth it!

You can invite your friends and family to watch you dance, to cheer your on, and give you moral support during Medal Exams. Upon completion of the Exam, StaverDanceSport hosts a traditional Medal Ball in "honor" of the students for their accomplishment in a national standard of excellence. The Medal Ball is an elegant formal affair that is a wonderful and fabulous way to be recognized and share your success with family and friends. The entire experience is rewarding, satisfying and a lot of FUN!
